A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a FY 2014 Homeland Security Grant Program Intergovernmental Funding Agreement.

BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN - 9/1/2015

Resolved by the Commission of the City of Battle Creek:

 

This Intergovernmental Funding Agreement is made between the County of Van Buren, a  ("Fiduciary"), and the City of Battle Creek.  This agreement allows the City of Battle Creek to receive Homeland Security Grant funding. This is a annual renewal for continued acceptance of grant funds.









I, Victoria Houser, City Clerk of the City of Battle Creek, hereby certify the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy of a Resolution adopted by the Battle Creek City Commission at a Regular meeting held on September 1, 2015.

HISTORY, BACKGROUND and  DISCUSSION

The purpose of the Grant Program is to provide funding for equipment and training to prevent, deter, respond to, and recovery from incidents of national significance including, but no limited to, threats and incidents of terrorism.

 

2014 Homeland Security Grant Program and use of Grant Program funds, including but not limited to the purchase and use, and training of equipment purchased, or reimbursement of services, and/or reimbursement for certain salaries and/or overtime.

 

Currently the Homeland Security Grant reimburse 38% of the Cities, Emergency Management Administrators salary.
