Resolved by the Commission of the City of Battle Creek:

 

This Resolution reappoints a member to the AMSA Construction Board of Appeals for a six-year term.

 

The Area Metropolitan Services Agency (AMSA) Council Board recommended at its June 1, 2016, meeting that Tom Beuchler be reappointed to the AMSA Construction Board of Appeals.

The City of Battle Creek does hereby affirm the reappointment of the above listed individual to the AMSA Construction Board of Appeals as recommended by the Area Metropolitan State Construction Code Act, 1972 PA 230.

HISTORY, BACKGROUND and  DISCUSSION
Tom Beuchler, President & CEO, Schweitzer Inc., has served as Chairperson of the AMSA Construction Board of Appeals for several years.  Mr. Beuchler also serves on the Inspection Small Group, who work to improve the inspections processes and service, and the City's Human Relations Board, a board convened to discuss increasing diversity, not only in employment practices, but also for business contracting purposes.
