HISTORY, BACKGROUND and  DISCUSSION

At the June 6, 2017 meeting, the City Commission approved a resolution authorizing a revision to the management agreement between CCDC and the City adding Economic Development duties. CCDC will be adding staff specifically to carry out the Economic Development duties, and they are intended to be housed at this location in Riverwalk Centre, pursuant to the attached lease.

Since the Battle Creek Community Foundation (BCCF) is the owner of this building, the Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce must first obtain BCCF's permission to enter into this sublease agreement with the City.

DISCUSSION OF THE ISSUE

The City Manager and the Assistant City Manager are in support of this proposed lease agreement.
