Resolved by the Commission of the City of Battle Creek:
That a Closed Session of the City Commission shall be held immediately following the regular City Commission Meeting of Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in Room 302A, City Hall, Battle Creek, Michigan. The Michigan Open Meetings Act permits a public body, upon a 2/3 majority vote, to meet in closed session in order to consider material exempt from discussion or disclosure by state or federal statute MCL 15.268(h); and this specific situation falls under MCL 15.243(1)(g), attorney-client privileged information; and
Rebecca L. Fleury, City Manager, is hereby appointed as the designated secretary to record and prepare appropriate Minutes of this Closed Session.
I, Victoria Houser, City Clerk of the City of Battle Creek, hereby certify the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy of a Resolution adopted by the Battle Creek City Commission at a Regular meeting held on January 2, 2018.
