Resolved by the Commission of the City of Battle Creek:
That the City Manager is authorized to sign contract #18-5290, Job #130178A, with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for hot mix asphalt cold milling and resurfacing work along Helmer Road from Gethings Road northerly to Columbia Avenue, Kendall Street from Dickman Road northerly to Michigan Avenue, and along Hamblin Avenue from Washington Avenue easterly to Division Street. Fog seal and single chip seal work along 24th Street from Gethings Road to Columbia Avenue, and along Gethings Road from Helmer Road to 24th Street; and all together with necessary related work.

| BUDGETARY CONSIDERATIONS
| Funds are being programmed with Federal Highway Administration funds under the Surface Transportation Program.
The grand total project estimated cost is $743,800 with cost participation as follows:
$743,800- Grand Total Estimate
$608,800 - FHWA, Surface Transportation Program ***
$135,000 - City
*** Federal Surface Transportation Funds shall be applied to the eligible items of the project cost up to the lesser of: (1) $651,559 or (2) an amount such that 81.85 percent, the normal Federal participation ratio for such funds, is not exceeded at the time of award of the construction contract.
City costs will be charged to: 402.22.4021.801.310 - Major Streets Capital Projects
