A Resolution of the City of Battle Creek authorizing the City Manager to execute the documents as required for the transfer of federal interest and title to two (2) Gillig buses from the Central Ohio Transit Authority to Battle Creek Transit upon approval by the Federal Transit Administration.the Transfer of Ownership and Federal Interest in Two (2) 2007 Gillig Buses from the Central Ohio Transit Authority to Battle Creek Transit.

BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN - 7/17/2018

Resolved by the Commission of the City of Battle Creek:

 

That the Central Ohio Transit Authority desires to execute a transfer of two (2) 2007 Gillig buses to Battle Creek Transit.  These two (2) Gillig buses, purchased with federal grant funds, have not been fully depreciated, and therefore a federal interest in them still exists. The Federal Transit Administration's (FTA's) rules and regulations allow for the transfer of the federal interest and title to these buses to other governmental entities that are recipients of FTA funds.  Battle Creek Transit is a qualifying FTA-funds recipient and desires to take possession of the two (2) Gillig buses and account for such transfer in accordance with Federal Transit Administration rules and regulations.

 









I, Victoria Houser, City Clerk of the City of Battle Creek, hereby certify the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy of a Resolution adopted by the Battle Creek City Commission at a Regular meeting held on July 17, 2018.

BUDGETARY CONSIDERATIONS

If authorized, Battle Creek Transit will be purchasing two (2) Gillig buses from Central Ohio Transit Authority for $6,610.65 each ($13,221.30 total).  Funding will be acquired from Risk funds for the purpose of replacing existing buses.
